Dave Houglum is originally from Soldotna, Alaska. He completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Pacific Lutheran University and a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University.  He is currently a doctoral candidate in Gonzaga University’s Doctoral Program in Leadership Studies and is completing his dissertation titled, “An Exploration of the Essence of Servant Leadership in Experiential, International Service-Learning in Zambia.” Dave desires to be a leadership scholar and educator at the university level upon the completion of his Ph.D. Dave enjoys hiking and camping; making music on the piano, trumpet, and guitar; and international travel. Dave and the love of his life, his wife Melissa, currently reside in Spokane, Washington.
