“Leadership” is a concept we often resist. It seems immodest, even self-aggrandizing, to think of ourselves as leaders. But if it is true that we are made for community, then leadership is everyone’s vocation, and it can be an evasion to insist that it is not. When we live in the close-knit ecosystem called community, everyone follows and everyone leads.” ~Palmer, Parker J. (2000). Let your Life Speak: Listening for the Voice of Vocation.

- Very well said. I mentor middle school and high school students and I constantly emphasize this aspect of being able to ask the right questions. This quote of yours ties well into another quote on leadership – A true leader is not someone who does great things, but is someone who makes other people do great things. In my opinion, leaders do so by asking the right questions at the right time, and getting the people around them to think and find answers.
