Authentic Leadership in Action — ALIA — had its first program in 2001 as the Shambhala Institute, subsequently named the Shambhala Institute for Authentic Leadership. It has operated continually since then, and in November 2014 merged with the Authentic Leadership program at Naropa University to create Naropa’s Authentic Leadership Center.
